Premier Dominion Vintage Snare Drum 1920s 1930s Brass Cast Hoops 14 x 6.5. This snare drum came to my possession as a non functioning instrument. Ive done some work to get it up and running but it still needs a bit of work to get it fully serviceable. I believe this to be a premier dominion snare drum from the mid to late 1920s. It would have originally been lacquered white. That finish is long gone. The brass is still good despite its blemishes. The baring edges are sound. Cast hoops seem ok although the chrome is a little worse for wear. The parallel snare mechanism is intact but a bit weak feeling. Ive not spent long on this. I was pleased to find that it worked but it could do with attention. It holds modern snare wires ok but will need some parts milling if you want to attached traditional snare wire. This shouldnt be hard to do. Id keep this drum and get to working on it one day but I have a busy schedule and Im contracted to another drum company so not technically supposed to play premier.
