This is a great-playing example of a rare gold-plated vintage Conn New Wonder alto saxophone portrait model, of a woman wearing a hat, manufactured in the 1925, #138XXX, just before the transition to the Chu Berry New Wonder II. His sax is in normal used condition with wear and scratching expected from many years of playing with several resolders, but everything works great, and it is set up to good playing adjustment on pads around midlife or a bit older. The neck is the one that came with this sax and it sounds great. This sax has a warm sound, great focus and a nice vintage edge.
