1978 Vincent Bach Stradivarius 42 Professional Trombone withF Trigger Attachment

Vincent Bach Stradivarius Model 42 Professional Trombone with F Trigger Attachment. Serial number dates to approximately 1978. Please look carefully at the photos and read the description. The instrument does play well as-is, but needs attention from a good tech to be at its best. Particularly the slide needs work. Th instrument shows signs of age, wear, and use. This includes scratches and discoloration to the lacquer, minor nicks and small dents, and past solder repairs (see pics – these could be redone and would look better). The water key and lock mechanism are intact. The tuning valves and F trigger all move freely and work properly. The slide works, but needs some attention – it has a couple small knicks and could be smoother. Overall a 6-7-ish/10 cosmetically. The trombone will come in a heavy duty SKB flight case that is in used, but good, functional condition. It will also include two mouthpieces. One is a aVincent Bach, one is a Benge. Both are 6 1/2 AL. The Bach is in excellent shape and looks to be a heavy weight/large shank mouthpiece. The Benge is in ok shape – needs some attention to the shank (which has a thinner wall than the Bach). Bach 42s are excellent quality professional trombones. This could be a great deal for someone willing to put some TLC into it. Make me offer, I’m open! Olds 4 Valve 0-99-41 BBb Tuba, Professional playing condition overhaul (not a restoration), Ready to Play, Great Horn!! Great 4 valve tuba. Olds, 0-99-41, Fullerton, California on side of bell. This one has had a professional playing condition overhaul which removes large & medium dents, repairs any leaks, but does not include re-lacquer in areas lacquer is removed from wear or repairs. I’m really tempted to keep this horn but I’m not playing that much & trying to be practical. There is a patch on the lead pipe (see photo). The lacquer is pretty good but has been removed from the large bottom bow when dents were removed – there are small scratches & small dings (see photos) but overall it looks very nice. Bell & valves also are very nice. This will a great tuba for ensembles, younger or older players, or anyone who is looking for a nice affordable, slightly smaller, easy to handle, great playing 4 valve horn. I can drive up to 2 hours from Cincinnati to meet you for the cost of gas if you can be somewhat flexible about when we would meet (I work retail hours that change week to week). Zig Kanstul-made ZeuS Guarnerius Bb trumpet with mouthpiece and case. A handguard is included. This horn has been used sparingly the past year, on only two gigs and several practices. The finish is tri color, with a one piece hammered copper bell, trimmed in silver and brass lacquer. Turquoise valve buttons really set off the appearance. Water keys on tuning and third slide. Saddle on first valve slide and ring on third valve slide with adjustable stop allow for ease of tuning as you play. The case is the factory ZeuS soft case, and the mouthpiece is a Kanstul clone of the Schilke M6. The horn comes with the standard tuning slide as well as an optional D ring. I prefer the D ring with the M6, but it is nice to have the option to rotate based on your needs. This instrument is flawless, and could pass for new. The pics tell the story. I have owned several Strads over the years (Models 25, 37, 43) and this horn, which is a clone of the legendary Mt. Vernon Bach Stradivarius, hangs with all of them. My loss is your gain.
