Vintage Selmer Paris Flugelhorn with Vintage Hard Case and Mouthpiece

Vintage Selmer Paris Silver Plated Flugelhorn. The serial number indicated a manufacturing date around the mid 1930’s. The valves work well and it has a nice blow with a warm rounded tone. Cosmetically, it is in good condition for it’s age. There is normal wear which includes missing plating, pings, and there is a shallow dent which can be viewed in the last photo above. Included is a vintage case which shows wear and needs manual assistance for the latches, the handle is solid and it holds the horn fine. Also included is a vintage mouthpiece. Fresh out of long term storage I can guess it will need to be re corked look at pictures. Not a zephyr special or an alto. It’s a zephyr tenor – still a cool horn, though! The “zephyr special” horns had some additional features like mother of pearl on several additional keys and a solid silver neck. Description: Olds Special 1966. This trumpet has 80% original lacquered finish. All original parts including the main tuning slide retaining rod. The pistons have no plating wear and have been aligned with Olds felts. Instrument has been cleaned and pressed, and is ready to play. Valves are EXTREMELY fast and smooth, and are serialized with same # as the valve block. There is a small dent in the main tuning slide and a crease has been removed from the bell flare. Plenty of scratches and wear, as you can see in the pictures. All sales are final unless we have grossly misrepresented an item. Vintage Ludwig 15 x 5 1930's Snare Drum, calfskin, gut snares

Vintage 1930’s Ludwig ” Vintage ” Nickel over Brass 15″ diameter x 5″ deep Snare Drum , 8 Lug , Clip Mount , Tube nickel plated lugs , All Original Drum. Not only do I believe , they Are to be along with nickel plating on hoops too , it seems to be shell plated the same as the other plating which looks like nickel to me and which is nickel , it has catgut snares wires also snare throw of is in excellent working condition. The snare Gut Wires are tight and no discrepancies there. The Case is a vintage Leedy Case , unlined with a strap I added to secure the case closed. The original leather strap has deteriorated. Please look at pictures for the fore mentioned. I have thoroughly cleaned and polished every part of this drum , all lugs individually cleaned and polished , all tuning screws cleaned & polished , threads graphite , one extra year correct tube lug included [as extra part]. This is a 2 piece shell , Not only do I believe , it IS seemed at the middle of the shell just like the black beauty, Look at the inside shell picture you will see. No additional holes , it has some minor scratching that is difficult to see from close , although there is 2 small dents as seen in the pictures , one small round dent is below the Ludwig script to the bottom left next to where the tube lug bolts to the shell , the other small round dent is above to where the catgut wires are attached to the drum opposite side of strainer. If you need additional pictures contact me I was told by a fellow drummer that this was a 1927 special order drum , do your research.. After thoroughly polishing this drum and putting it back together , I further tuned it up and played on it a little , WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SOUND , FAT SOUNDING , EVEN WITH THESE CATGUT SNARES , DIFFERENT SOUNDING VOICE OF THIS BELL BRASS SNARE DRUM , MAN OH MAN , IT SOUNDS SO COOL , THIS SNARE DRUM COMMANDS ATTENTION! Vintage Olds Fullerton Trumpet from an estate. Includes an Olds # 3 mouthpiece, a Giardinelli 7C mouthpiece and a Vincent Bach Corp. Also comes with a Humes & Berg Sh! Quiet Mannie Klein Practice Mute, Denis Wick Precision Mute as well as lubricants and cleaning supplies. Slides and valves all work as they should. There are a couple small very slight dings. The lacquer shows its age and could be redone if you would prefer that over the aged patina. Case is in great shape with light wear from normal use. See photos for best description. Up for sale is a Vintage Conn Connquerer 26M Alto Saxophone, serial # 267, xxx – dates to 1935. Horn is in great shape, no dents or damage to body, most likely an older re-lacquer. Pads are newer, horn is in good playing shape as-is. I would recommend that it be set up by a tech who knows how to truly work on these Connquerers, as they have a very complex (and ingenious) adjustment system for key heights. The neck I’m assuming is a VIII neck, but the markings are so faint due to the re-lacquer, it’s truly hard to tell how the neck is marked. The neck strap ring has been moved to a more comfortable position, and the G# trill key is currently removed, but will be included in sale, as will the brand new Protec case. These Conn altos have a truly unique sound. These instruments were Conn’s top of the line offering at the time and are a testament to the craftsmanship that was happening at C. Conn in the pre-war era. The perm-adjust adjustment feet, sterling silver touch pieces on side keys, palm keys, and spatulas are truly stunning. I play mainly tenor and this horn simply does not get played enough to warrant holding on to it. I’d love to see it go to someone who truly appreciates these unique instruments.
