This is a great playing example of a legendary vintage Buescher True Tone Aristocrat alto saxophone #336XXX with a very worn vintage laquer finish. It is either late Big B or a very early example of the successor to the Big B-engraved Bueschers, I cannot read the engraving, but I have owned this for awhile because it plays like a great Big B. Manufactured in Elkhart, Indiana USA in 1951 during the absolute peak period of quality. It has gold Norton springs and Snap-In-Pads, mostly midlife with replacements where necessary, and t. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment. Speckling, scratches for it’s age with a number of dents and signs of repairs, please study the photos carefully. This sax has an exceptional full vintage sound with strong presence. Comes without a case but this. This is a fine-playing example of a Buescher True Tone baritone saxophone #196XXX manufactured in Elkhart, Indiana USA in 1926 with it’s original silver plated finish. Pads are around midlife, some older, still flexible with the original snaps and t. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment. There are scattered shallow dents throughout the sax, please study the photos carefully. Range is low Bb to high F. This sax blows very easily and freely with a warm vintage edge and solid presence. 1951 Buescher 400 Top Hat and Cane Tenor Saxophone w/ Original Case. This tenor saxophone has a raised Buescher 400 logo, elaborate Top Hat and Cane engraving. The six digits serial number is 333XXX and it has the B11 right under it. Original lacquer on the saxophone, there are no major dents, some scratches, all keys and pads are still good. The saxophone is playable and all the keys are good. Please check the pictures for more detail. The case is a little torn and little wearing on the onside; the handle on the top of the case doesnt have the leather anymore. Comes with original case. PRESERVING AMERICAN MUSIC HISTORY ONE INSTRUMENT AT A TIME. (3 valves plus 4th to change bells). Made in Elkhart, Indiana. With original factory silver plate finish. INCLUDES A SMALL SHANK MOUTHPIECE AND CASE. A RARE COLLECTOR’S INSTRUMENT. FULLY RESTORED IN EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION. This is not your typical used instrument. It has been taken apart, dents removed, needed repairs made, carefully reassembled and carefully polished. We saved the original silver plate finish so there will be some scratches and minor signs of use. It looks and plays great! The restoration was done by a respected local shop with over 40 years experience in woodwind and brass instrument restorations and repairs. Some of their employees worked at the H. White and King factories in Cleveland and Eastlake, Ohio. (the new Conn trombones are made in the Eastlake King factory). I have personally used this company for over 10 years for my band members and myself. I had this shop overhaul and silver plate my baby a 1971 Besson euphonium and for me thats like trusting someone to operate on your kid. Ive had the horn longer than my kids! It really looks great and actually plays better than when I bought it new in college. This item is guaranteed to be as described. I take great care to make sure you are receiving a good quality instrument and to describe it accurately. The pictures tell the story. I personally play everything I sell, so theres nothing to worry about. Im a band director and professional musician playing tuba to trumpet and everything in between. If I wouldnt have it in my house, I wont send it to yours! Ive just collected too many instruments and other “horn stuff”, between the community band that I direct plus 3 others I play in yes, Im a little crazy! And 2 kids that played in band in school.
