Here’s a MINT Bach Stradivarius Model C180SL229PC Philadelphia Symphony model Professional Trumpet in C. Standard weight one-piece hand-hammered yellow brass #229 bell with classic French bead flat rim with soldered bell wire. Special #25CC leadpipe based on 1947 design. Wide foot bell to leadpipe braces. Narrower braces at bell to valve casing and valve casing to leadpipe. Thumb ring on first valve. Single brace on tuning slide. Bead rings on all slides. Hexagon shaped pull knobs. 1st slide thumb ring. 3rd slide pin stop. Modeled after the horns that made the famous Philadelphia Orchestra sound, this horn features a large bore, the 229 bell, and the 25CC mouthpipe for a huge-playing, great sounding orchestral C trumpet. This instrument has had very little playing time and is in perfect condition except for a few fingerprints. We are proud to be an authorized Bach dealer. This instrument is a player, sweet and silky but able to lead the band without breaking. There have been small dents removed from the bell, tuning slide and outer hand slide tubes. The inner hand slide tubes are in excellent condition with no signs of wear on the tubes or stockings. The dual bore hand slide action is smooth and drops freely from its own weight. The instrument has not been abused but shows lacquer wear from playing and minor dents. The instrument comes with a slightly used Bach 6 1/2 A mouthpiece and a new Kases lightweight case. Used Bach Model 8 trombone. This model of Bach trombone was made in the late 1930’s, but has aged exceptionally well. It has a full and more mellow tone. This instrument is especially great for theater and concert orchestras and full sized dance bands. This horn is in good playing condition. The hand slide and main tuning slide both move freely. There are a few minor dents and the lacquer has deteriorated , particularly on the bell section. Herco Professional mouthpiece included. Bach Stradivarius 50BG3 Bass Trombone. Mid-1980’s vintage dual valve in-line (Bb, Gb, F) 50B3 with rose brass bell (9.5), nickel-silver slide and changeable lead pipe (2 supplied). Slide stockings show signs of wear but not worn through the plating. Slide works free and smooth. Original brass outer slide included. Open wrap modification was done by Giardinelli Music in New York City. Bach 1 1/2 G and Giardinelli 2G mouthpieces included. The horn shows the usual signs of use – this horn was used daily until I stopped playing 20 years ago. It used to be called “the portable tuba” for good reason. It needs to be making music!
