If you’re looking for a well built, affordable student trumpet that plays very well and has proven to withstand the test of time, THIS IS IT. It has flaws, but is priced accordingly. There are a few very minor dings, scratches and imperfections, but all tubing is straight and the lacquer is about 85% tact. NO DEEP DENTS OR BENDS. Valves and slides move smooth and freely – the 3rd valve slide is light and easy – lubed with Ultra Pure Black Label Classic valve oil and Conn-Selmer & Leblanc Slid-Eze slide greases. Good compression for it’s age, but the valves do show wear. Valve caps and bottoms screw on/off smoothly. Valves aligned with new valve cap felts and water key corks installed.
