This is a rare and desirable example of an original silver-plated vintage Conn New Wonder II Chu Berry tenor saxophone manufactured in 1929, #216XXX. His sax is in well-worn used condition with plenty of wear and scratching from many years of playing, but everything works great, and it is set up to good playing adjustment on a complete recent set of metal resonator pads. Neck has some resoldering, repair of the brace, repaired pulldown and most of the finish worn off as seen best in photos 6 and 7, no effect on its great sound. This sax has powerful projection and presence with a warm vintage edge.
