This Bach Stradivarius Model 37, serial # 72737 is an excellentexample of 1970s Elkhart manufacturing, acquired by me as second owner in1978. Some thinning of silver plating is evident on the outside ofvalve three, otherwise overall condition of finish is good to very good. Recent professional refurbishment withultrasonic cleaning, polishing, new rubber top cap washers, stem felts andwater key cork. Action on all valves is top-notch and all slides have fullrange of motion. Includes original case with leather handle, brass latches, and authentic dinosaur-skin trim. Inside of case has luxurious wall-to-wallblue nylon felt. Inside and outside of the show the reasonable wear expected ofa 70s vintage instrument case. Two Vincent Bach Corp 7C mouthpieces. One Jet-Tone Custom Model 2D mouthpiece. One 1978-vintage Humes & Berg Stone LinedStraight Mute. Bach Stradivarius-branded plastic valve oilcontainer (valve oil not included). According to theConn-Selmer link below, the serial number on this horn puts the manufacturingdate in Elkhart, Indiana somewhere between 1970 and 1974. I was given this hornas a gift in 1978 when I was in 8th grade. My parents bought it used from mymusic teacher at the time so I dont know the horns history before I owned it. I played regularly until 1989 and then the horn sat in the closet untillast year.
