1957 Conn Victor 6B Pro-Trumpet Outstanding Original Condition with Original Lacquer. Hotos don’t do the horn justice; Artistic bell engraving. This Conn 6B is hard to come by in this nice original condition, a very clean horn overall. The only blemishes are minor scratches and very small dings, to minor to see in the photos. Also, there is some minor spotting in the lacquer on the main tuning slide and minor plating wear on the outside of the first valve top cap (pictured with the valves photo). No evidence of any repairs. Super clean all original, great vintage horn!! I have owned several Conn 6B trumpets, but this is the best!! This particular 1957 Victor 6B fine has short stoke valves that have great compression and are supper fast. The Conn 6B is very similar to the famous Connstellation 38B, but with a solid copper leadpipe, without the extensive nickel plating and the first valve trigger. This makes the horn a bit less in weight, and the tone quality has less of an edge and blends better in sectionals and with strings. 438 bore with the large 5&1/8 inch and killer valves make this a great Jazz horn!! An outstanding example of the Victor 6B (SN 709XXX) with original case (in outstanding condition). This fine horn has unique playing characteristics that are hard to find in the production horns today. They are as follows. Horn plays with broad mellow tone with a dark core. Very efficient, speaks easily at soft volumes. Has great articulation and slots very well. Made for easy extended play in the upper register. Super easy to get around, pleasure to play. Solid built trumpet, lightweight overall. The slides all move freely an have good compression. The horn comes with the original paperwork and key inside the case and two Conn mouthpieces to include: A mint Conn Connstellation 7B-N and a Conn Precision 5 mouthpiece in good condition.
