The bell is electroformed into existence on a mandrel, so it is a true one piece seamless bell. This gives these horns remarkable evenness of tone and regularity over a wide range of notes. Here is what Conn said at the time. Built in small bore, but the seamless bell of Coprion gives it the power you would expect only from larger bore. Ease of playing, beauty of tone, accuracy of scale and amazing flexibility. Impossible to overblow or crack a note. Patented Clickless Crysteel valves. This horn looks beautiful and plays very well. The valves have very good compression and the slides all move of course. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a few small dings and some light rippling throughout the horn. The bell engraving is in good shape, and the text of the engraving reads “C G Conn Ltd/ USA/ Elkhart-IND”. All the minor imperfections are visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This horn is not lacquered; therefore fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wishes for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now–if they are not wiped off then the horn will develop a lovely patina. This trumpet comes with a somewhat worn case and a mouthpiece in good condition for play-testing purposes. All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop.
