The Conn 22B is one of the best horns ever made! The Special models are considered more desirable due to being held to extra high standards during production. We’ve known many professional players who say the Conn 22B, sounds the way a trumpet should sound. Over the years we’ve played a lot of these, and we only bought and kept the good ones. This one has some red rot in the leadpipe, however we chose not to fix it because it plays great and the red rot is mild and usually takes decades to work it’s way through the leadpipe. The bell engraving is particularly crisp on this horn, it’s hard to find one of these with the lacquer this well preserved. The pictured original Conn case is included. The case has typical wear due to its age but is in good shape. The latches and springs are functioning perfectly.
