There are many ways to produce sound from whalophone – you can use your bare hands, knock the spikes with your fingers or with mallets, or finally, use a bow which significantly enhances the spectrum of sounds. To create incredible “wah-wah” effect just pour some water inside the whalophone and listen how it talks to you when you play it! Classic whalophone consists of 24 different length rods permanently attached to a stainless steel body with silver joints. High silver content silver joints provide extra durability and a great resonance of the instrument. Rods are made out of brass, alloy known for its great sound properties and transparent timbre. There are no “dead” or “dull” rods as with some other makes! We make sure each waterphone we produce is unique and meets highest sound standards.
