Silver and Brass Music Shop is a brick-and-mortar brass instrument restoration and repair shop located in Carson City, NV. Here is a 1922 Conn 2B “New Wonder” trumpet (serial number 192316). This is a very unusual instrument, as it was only made for three years in 1920, 1921, and 1922. The bell is made from French brass with a very tight bell taper and the valve casings are solid copper. This horn is in good playing condition. The valves move well, but show pitting and wear. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a some small dings as well as light pitting over much of the horn. This horn comes with both its original Bb/A main tuning slide and also a non-original regular Bb main tuning slide. The bell engraving reads: Made By / C. All this is visible in the pictures. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This horn is not lacquered; therefore fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wishes for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now–if they are not wiped off then the horn will develop a lovely patina. This trumpet comes with a mouthpiece in good condition and a somewhat worn case. All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop.
