For sale here is a Beautiful example of genuine American built C. Conn Classic Tenor Saxophone in Heavy Gold Plate. The sax has been recently serviced including a full re-pad with Selmer-style plastic resonators. They help bring out the Warm and Fuzzy on this beauty! It has the serial number 139979 with a production date around 1925. The sax has a very nice Gold Plated over Silver finish that was not polished during the last servicing. If someone has the time and the energy, they could certainly make this horn sparkle!! Included in the sale is an old and raggedy alligator skin case, a neck strap, and the Brilhart Tonalin 8 mouthpiece pictured. The mouthpiece is in very lightly used condition. There is a little wear on the bite plate but the facing looks original and the tip, table, and rails are all blemish-free. The tip opening measures 0.094. Obviously the case needs a handle or two and the hinges could probably stand for a replacement but both latches function as intended. I kinda like that the latches don’t crack you in the thumb when they snap open. They have little swing restrictors or something… The horn has a flat spot on the bottom but not big enough for me to worry about. It is also missing one of the tiny little octave key guides that is soldered right at the top of the body where the neck tenon is. Not sure what happened to that little guy… This is an awesome Tenor for anyone. Altos, C Tenors and Bb Tenors. I don’t need them all and I have a little B Buescher alto that screams, a Buescher C Tenor that smokes and a Pan American Tenor that is on Fire!!! The round, lyrical sound of this King Master Model reveals its true beauty. The tones are pure and clearfrom a velvet softness to a bell-like brilliance. The traditional cornet lines, with gently sweeping mouthpipe, insure the rich sound. Combine this beauty and tone quality with truly rugged construction, and you have an instrument worthy of the name King. You play relaxed, and know this King Cornet will deliver all that you ask. Solid Sterling Silver Bell responds instantly, gives precise control, projects farther. The sound is richer, slightly darker with more overtones and the tone will not crack-ever! –King White Way Catalog #10, 1938. For sale by The H. White Company LLC, this magnificent Cornet with its solid sterling silver bell is in remarkable shape for its age. This cornet has been restored. The finish is new bake on lacquer which has better durability. The valves perform perfect and are super responsive. All slides are stamped with the appropriately matched serial numbers and fit perfect so there is no loss of air pressure. This cornet has new clear sprayed on lacquer which is rated at 98% perfect. The engraving is perfect. The gold wash is new 99% perfect. There are no large dents. There is one very small ding in the bell flair. There was some pitting on the exterior of the number three valve, see pictures. All slides operate smoothly. The springs are new. All the slides and valves are stamped with the appropriate serial numbers. Comes with original lyre and cleaning rod. The cornet comes in its original Gladstone style case. The HN White made Gladstone case is one of our favorites and this one looks great but has some issues. The handle was replaced. The case straps are intact but very week. Someone pulled of the top and we have glued it back on, see pictures. The interior of the case is in excellent shape but is missing its King name badge. We do not recommend that this case be used with day to day activities. This Cornet sounds great with its mellow full tone that you can only get with a solid sterling silver bell. 1964 Gold Medal Tenor Saxophone Mk. 1 W/rolled Tone Holes – Excellent. This sax is a Mach 1 Gold Medal edition Strasser Marigaux Lemaire (SML)… Has been recently serviced and is sealing beautifully. This is a relacquered saxophone and had also been overhauled a number of years ago – pads are in very good condition. For those who are not familiar with SML saxophones, I would highly recommend reading up on them as they are one of the best French-made saxophones ever. There are some scratches and a couple of minor dimples… It is a used saxophone. Note – you will see lacquer missing on the lower stack back side where one of the posts had to be shifted as swedging was not an option and there was too much play. Vintage 1935 Conn Transitional 6M Naked Lady Alto Saxophone Rolled Tone Holes. On offer today – A Conn 6M Naked lady transitional alto saxophone with original case. The serial number is 270xxx which dates it to 1935. This is one of the wonderful transitionals out there. The official M Naked Lady models were advertised to the public in 1935, the previous model being the New Wonder Two (known for its distinct G# nail file lever). This horn is one of the rare ones caught on the production line between these two phases and shows the combined trait/s of both models. It has all the 6M attributes (same-sided bell keys, the curved high E palm key, the silver-plated adjustable thumb hook, the removal of the forked Eb resonance key, the improved G# cluster, the underslung microtuner neck, and, most importantly, the Naked Lady engraving) but retains the New Wonder Two the serial number stamp layout. This horn does not have the 6M stamp in the serial number, very unusual given the year it was made. This alto has been well looked after and is in good condition. The lacquer looks lovely with that deep golden tint it has acquired with age. All the original pearl pinky rollers are there without any chips to them. It has all of its original Conn pivot lock-screws (quite a rarity in itself) along with its original hard case. This alto saxophone has a served me well what a powerful player! It has had new pads installed but will need servicing/regulating after transit to be in playing condition so please bear this in mind. The case is good and strong as ever with no splits in the wood and the all latches functioning. Berkeley cases, mouthpieces, and many vintage U. A altos, tenors, and baritones. G. C. Conn 25J Bell-Up BBb Recording Bass Tuba, 4 Short-Action Valves Big Tone

This listing is for a BBb Tuba made by the C. Conn Company of Elkhart, Indiana. It is the famous 25J model. Features on this instrument include 4 short-action piston valves, removable upwards bell, #11 bore. The serial number is in the N series placing production in 1970. We took this instrument as a trade from a school system so it does show wear – dents, finish wear, etc. BUT the valves are smooth and show little wear the braces are solid. The slides work and we cleaned the pistons. The bow guard needs some minor soldering. It plays very well as is. This model has a big sound that works well in concert band. The response and intonation are very good. This would be a candidate for a restoration project or it can be played as is. This tuba has many years of play left in it. The following is from the Conn Loyalist website. The 25J has four valves. The 25J has a 0.773 bore size, which is a #11¾ bore. There are rings to which a strap can be attached so you can play it standing up, but the weight of it makes that impractical: the 25J weighs approximately 31 Lbs. What Conn said in 1959: Short action valves, 1/3 shorter than other basses and hydraulic expansion which protects the inside of tapers makes this model the finest bass in the world. Crysteel valves, extra range with 4 valves, concert bell interchangeable with bell front model for field or parade power. Highly polished brass, clear lacquer finish. This outfit includes NO case, a new Mt. Vernon mouthpiece and a polishing cloth. The item “G. C.
