The Legends HJ rim is rounded on the outside and sharp on the inside. It’s comfortable, but will support quick-tonguing motifs and technical runs. The cup is a shallow double-cup. The rim and cup combination are very similar to a HJ SIGNATURE model. The throat is open (#27), with the Legends enhanced throat cylinder length. The backbore is a Legends Vegas, which has a nice balance of sizzle and core. The HJ is perfect for the player looking to perform extremely technical upper register pieces with ease, but without sacrificing tone quality in the middle and lower registers. Bell and valves have a corresponding numbers to a body serial ORIGINAL GREAT CONDITION Bill Chase played a fixed bell B6 from 1965 through’68. Thereafter he played a B6Lb (a B6 with a tunable beryllium bell). How he came to play Schilke is an interesting story. Chase was romantically interested in a dancer who was performing in San Francisco. When Bill went to see her perform, he started talking shop, as is the habit among trumpet players, with one of the trumpet players in the ballet orchestra, a fellow for whom the original B6 was designed. After playing his, Chase had to have one. The classic medium bore trumpet, the B6 has been an extremely popular choice for all musicians, especially the commercial player. In the studio or on stage, for lead or in the section, this incredibly versatile model provides a compact sound with superior projection and exceptional brilliance.
