This is a super straight 1965 F. Olds Bb Recording Model Trumpet. It has the off-set 2nd valve and the ballanced (valves forward) design. The Horn is Lacquered but, the bell and most of the mouthpipe are raw brass. The Bell and Mouthpipe are made of Red Brass (some people call it bronze) with beautiful deep hand engraving that you dont see on modern trumpets any more. The outer tubing and some of the inner slides are of solid nickle and the valve casing and slide crooks are brass. Its a really beautiful combination. The valve have no Plating loss and are smooth and fast. Great compression and all three slides pull with a pleasant “pop”. The Trigger also works flawlessly. There is no red rot anywhere on the horn. All the slides move freely though I think the main tuning slide is a little stiff. Ill leave that for the next owner. AS i said This horn is Super Straight.. It Does have wear in the typical spots. Hand holds on the casing and on the main tunning slide. The horn has been sonically cleaned with all new felts and waterkey corks and ready to go. I use Blue Juice on the valves and STP on the slides. Please check out the pictures and ask me questions. I will answer asap. I pack very well.
