This vintage FE Olds Special trumpet is from the private collection of esteemed jazz trumpeter Ryan Kisor. As a native to Sioux City, IA, it has been a privilege to serve Ryan and his family for many years. We consider it a great honor to offer several items of his personal collection for sale on our Reverb page. Overall, this instrument is in great condition. The serial number, 288974, dates it to 1958. Cosmetically, the horn is in great, original condition and has minimal wear throughout; the bell engraving is crisp and clear. The valves are quick and slides are smooth. Compression is great, age considered, and the horn plays nicely. The valve plating is in really good condition, with little to zero staining, and all serial numbers match. This is a great playing condition horn and has much left to give.
