Very nice Buescher Aristocrat Series II “Big B” Silver Plated Eb Alto on offer with serial number 329XXX, dating the horn to 1950. The horn is in excellent physical and playing condition, with plenty of silver plating wear present throughout the horn. Please budget to adjust the horn to individual playing taste (if desired) but the horn is ready to play right out of the box from low Bb to High F. The body is in good shape and includes most if not all of the original plated norton screw-in springs. The neck shows evidence of past ding repair but no pull down is evident. Both end of the neck are in very good shape and the body/neck form a nice tight, proper bond. The Big B’s pads are very good sealing black roo pads finished with flat silver resonators, not the original snap on resonators. This is a great-playing example of a vintage Buescher Aristocrat II tenor saxophone, #328XXX with the Big B engraving on the bell. Wear and scratching on it’s non-original laquer finish, a number of minor, small dents and everything works great. It is set up to good playing adjustment on an older set of snap-in pads, still flexible. This sax blows very easily with a beautiful vintage edge and character.
