A very rare find dating back to the late 30’s. Here is a “Dick Stabile” Tenor Sax commissioned for Sorkin Music Company in New York made by Martin Handcraft Committee. Yes folks this is a Martin Tenor Sax……. I had it completely gone thru. He started with an acid bath, then replaced the pads and springs were needed. Then he set it up so that it plays like a Martin should play and sound. Some of the dents were removed a few small ones remain, at one time it had been relaquered , there is lacquer wear, especially on the back side, some scratches but hey these are all character marks of a well used sax. The case is original and looks every bit its age , it smells musty, but is still sturdy and does protect the sax The sax is complete. Included in the case is the neck piece, a Martin mouth piece, Ligature, several reeds, neck strap, polishing cloth, cork grease. If your into the older collectable saxes, this is your opportunity to own an older Martin for less than most intermediate saxes…. The item “Here it is.
