Here we have a lovely sounding late 1950’s 14 x 5.5 Chrome on Brass Hi-Fi Snare Drum Model No. This is a 10 lug snare, originally this drum would have come with Cast hoops and Slotted rods, along the way it’s been changed to 2.3mm hoops and square rods. The drum features Premiers parallel action snare system currently fitted with double 12 wires. This drum has a great vibe, it’s in excellent condition for its age too. These drums very rarely appear especially in this kind of condition. Vernon Stradivarius # 18060. This horn is in very good shape with plenty of compression. Theres some outer wear on the leadpipe, but do not believe it is red rot. Theres also a small area of wear on the 1st valve casing where it appears a first valve slide trigger was added then removed (not a patch). The valves are original and are very smooth. The first bottom valve cap does not appear to be original and the valve top finger buttons have been replaced, but I do have the originals and will send. The valves have recently been aligned by Bob Reeves. The 3rd valve slide also works great. Also, not sure of the exact manufacturing date. I was told it was a 54 when I bought it, but further research leads me to believe it might be closer to a 1959. Overall, an excellent playing trumpet with a great sound and good intonation. VINTAGE 1950’S YORK MASTER VALVE TROMBONE – MADE BY BOHM & MEINL. VINTAGE 1950’S YORK MASTER VALVE TROMBONE MADE BY BOHM & MEINL. THEY APPEARED IN AMERICA AFTER THE END OF WWll AND THE MARSHALL PLAN TO REBUILD EUROPE AFTER THE WAR REACHED ITS CLIMAX. THEY ARE ACTUALLY PRETTY DARN GOOD HORNS. THEY WERE MADE BY REAL EUROPEAN INSTRUMENT MAKERS WHO HAD MANGED TO SURVIVE THE WAR. THEY WERE MADE BY BOHM & MEINL WHO MADE WONDERFUL TUBAS IN THE 1950’S. THEY WERE CONSIDERED A HIGH LEVEL INSTRUMENT. PRE-OWNED IN EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION AND GOOD COSMETIC CONDITION. THE TROMBONE HAS A DARK GOLDEN LACQUER FINISH WITH LACQUER WEAR AROUND THE HORN BELL ASSEMBLY AND THE VALVE ASSEMBLY. HN WHITE SILVER KING SOUSAPHONE 1950’S W/ GOLD WASH 26 BELL GREAT CONDITION! . I have been using this as my main gigging horn for the past 7 years. There are several dents on the body of the instrument but they are cosmetic only in nature and do not have any impact on the sound. Horn has been keep in shape by the fine workers at J. Landress Brass in NYC. This horn is old and shows signs of wear and tear, but it is in perfect playing condition and I have taken extreme care of it since it has been in my ownership. Bore at the valves is. This sousaphone plays great in tune with little adjustment needed by me. Comes with a backpack case, but the zipper is partially broken. Everything is fast and easy to take apart. It came from an older gentleman who took care of his horns. A gentleman inthe UK stated the horns were marketed as a Pro Horn used for Show, Jazz and Dance Band Work. Grisha Farfel, lead trumpet on radio for the Billy Cotton Band and he used one of these horns. This is a great trumpet that should be ready to play. The serial number is 49075.
