Premier Dominion Vintage Snare Drum 1920s 1930s Brass Cast Hoops 14 x 6.5

Premier Dominion Vintage Snare Drum 1920s 1930s Brass Cast Hoops 14 x 6.5. This snare drum came to my possession as a non functioning instrument. Ive done some work to get it up and running but it still needs a bit of work to get it fully serviceable. I believe this to be a premier dominion snare drum from the mid to late 1920s. It would have originally been lacquered white. That finish is long gone. The brass is still good despite its blemishes. The baring edges are sound. Cast hoops seem ok although the chrome is a little worse for wear. The parallel snare mechanism is intact but a bit weak feeling. Ive not spent long on this. I was pleased to find that it worked but it could do with attention. It holds modern snare wires ok but will need some parts milling if you want to attached traditional snare wire. This shouldnt be hard to do. Id keep this drum and get to working on it one day but I have a busy schedule and Im contracted to another drum company so not technically supposed to play premier. Throw and likely butt plate have been replaced with other vintage styles adding a few extra holes. Hardware shows average pitting, not too bad considering the age. Rare factory wfl wires still present. Vintage Slingerland batter head is torn/reso side looks original and is in great shape. Vintage Ludwig Black Beauty 6.5×14 Blue & Olive Badge Snare Drum. Serial # – 2166408. Black vintage P85 throw off. Damper and damper knob. No pitting or corrosion. Message me for quote with your postal address. I have posted an additional picture of the damper knob and retaining screw because I had a question if it was a depression or a dent, which is a great question. Some drummers like to really (read over tighten) the damping screw to control the sound, others not so much. I have untightened the damper and added a close up picture.
