Trumpet has been stored since 1952. Recently had professional chemical bath freeing up valves and slides, new felt pads under keys, new cork in valves. Finish is original, brass shows some wear. Case is sound, but worn. I played this horn in the high school band, dance band and orchestra, as well as the city band. I have made no attempt to polish or buff the finish. Up for sale is a stunning Bach Stradivarius Bb trumpet with a 37 bell in outstanding condition. Recently chem-cleaned internally and gently hand polished externally, this beauty is as good a player as it looks! It presents with an easy blow throughout the registers, great slotting and intonation, and full rich characteristic tone which projects easily to the back of the hall. Compression is excellent and is complete including the original valve caps, buttons and 3rd valve stop nuts. All valves and slides are in perfect operating order, and this baby is ready for it’s new owner to play right out of the original case which is sturdy and whose latches open and close easily and securely. The handle on the case is new/replaced. All the feet on the bottom and back of the case are present and in good condition. No mouthpiece is included. The silver is 99.6% as there is a small spot of wear through the plating on the 1st valve casing where the right hand thumb rests. Certainly only cosmetic as it does nothing to adversely affect the sound or operation of the horn. Serial #301xxx, manufactured in 1988 when Bach was making really great horns, like this one!
