Lawler Handmade Professional Trumpet with Vintage Case. I first heard of Roy Lawler in the mid 1990’s when a new hire for the summer who was a grad student in trumpet performance let me play his. I was sooooo impressed. I have since owned five of his trumpets and each one has blown me away. It is sad that he is devoting all of his time now to trombones because he certainly knows how to make a great trumpet. You will love the feel and the trumpet responds very nicely. The sound is lively but very warm with a fair amount of focus. It is hard to imagine any professional level player not loving this horn. It is raw brass and will turn to a dark brown patina unless you hand polish it. I have done a lot of that to show you its potential however I believe the natural aged patina of raw brass is pretty cool. There are a few pings or real small indentations but nothing large or blaring. It is a trumpet you can feel proud to take out of the case and I believe you will love playing this one! Included is a vintage King case from the early 1970’s. It is in rough condition but has potential and does hold the Lawler ok. IN EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION & VERY GOOD COSMETIC CONDITION. THIS RARE 60H HAS THE TUNING SLIDE IN THE THE HAND SLIDE AND A ROSE BRASS BELL. THE HAND SLIDE IS SMOOTH, QUICK, QUIET & VERY RESPONSIVE JUST LIKE THE F ATTACHMENT. THE ROTOR & TUNING SLIDE WERE CLEANED AND LUBRICATED. THE BELL HAS SOME LIGHT PINGS AND A FEW SMALL DINGS (NOTHING SERIOUS). A FEW DENTS WERE PROFESSIONALY REMOVED ON THE BELL TUBING 12 FROM BELL RIM, A SMALL DING ON THE E PULL (NOTHING SERIOUS). LIGHT SURFACE SCRATCHES AROUND THE HORN (NOTHING SERIOUS). THE HORN IS IN REMARKABLE CONDITION FOR BEING 47 YEARS OLD. COMES WITH ORIGINAL CONN CONSTELLATION MOUTHPIECE, MOUTHPIECE ADAPTER, LYRE & ORIGINAL CONN HARD SHELL CASE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. The 60H is essentially the same as the 62H, except that it has a single rotor attachment. As on the 62H, the 60H has the tuning slide in the hand slide. The advantage of having the tuning slide in the hand slide is that this allows the entire bell section to be conical, instead of there being a cylindrical section to allow for the tuning slide.
