This trumpet was made in 1952 and is in really nice condition. It has been relacquered but the lacquer is in good shape. There are some signs of surface wear consistent with regular playing (see pics – on and around the valves show the most wear) but the instrument is dent-free and has been well taken care of. All the valves move freely and the slides pull easily. We’ve run it through our professional brasswind repair department to put it in top playing condition. The Olds Recording models are very highly regarded in the trumpet community. They feature a trombone-style water key for easy use, an ergonomically friendly offset second valve, a centrally located third valve slide, and a pushed forward valve section for balance. The sound is full and rich, but also has some power behind it. These trumpets just ooze quality that is rarely seen in more contemporary horns, even down to the elaborate engraving.
