This is the John Ogilbee Elegance Flumpet, made with input & parts from his building partner Andy Taylor for me. If you know Mr. Ogilbee’s work with Mr. Taylor, then you know this is a truly world class instrument in every way! The closest thing to it is the Monette Flumpet which sells for many times as much! It has been in my collection ever since John made it for me, though I only pull it out occasionally to lube it up and play a few notes. Nice touch, but you can have that removed easy enough, if you wish… It is in practically mint condition, with the exception of a slight ding & flat spot at the end of the bell caused by my ex dropping it bell-down on carpet, everything working exactly as it should. This does not affect playability and is not readily noticeable (see pics). A Taylor “S” mouthpiece and Outlaw TorpedoBag case will be included at no extra charge. This is a “flumpet”, a cross between a trumpet and a flugelhorn. Art Farmer played a flumpet! No other reason to part with one of my most treasured items; my cherished Adams Flugelhorn and Harley FatBoy went first… This sucks, but my kids need me more than I need this..
