Carol Brass Custom CTR-5284. 470 Large Bore – Raw Brass. There are a few copies of this horn out there. But they are not this horn. This is my Calicchio killer. After my one-of-one large-bore Calicchio was stolen, I went looking for something that could replace it. That search led me to Carol Brass and ultimately to having this style of horn built for me. 470 bore, there is simply nothing holding you back. This is a lightweight lead horn with tremendous projection and plenty of sizzle without becoming painfully bright. It is a rocket when you want it to be. But that’s only half the story. Put the right mouthpiece in it and this horn can also become smoky, dark and wonderfully rich. Mouthpiece selection really matters with a trumpet like this-you can dramatically change its personality depending upon what you put into it. The distinctive bend in the bell pipe isn’t just visually striking. It also changes the playing position so you don’t have to bring the trumpet all the way up parallel with the floor. It’s a surprisingly comfortable way to play. This particular horn is raw brass -no lacquer or clear coat. Many players specifically seek this out because they like having the unfinished brass directly in their hands and feel more connected to the feedback of the instrument. If you prefer a protected finish, a clear coat can always be added. When my first custom Carol Brass arrived, I loved it. So I had four more made. Once I started playing these horns, I finally got over losing the Calicchio. Of those horns, this is the only one I had made in raw brass. This is my idea of a dream lead trumpet: lightweight, huge bore, free blowing, tremendous projection and enough versatility to go from smoky and dark to absolute fire. This horn has no speed limit.

This cornet appears not to have been used but for a few days. More like a display horn. Comes with Bach 7B mouthpiece. The King 602 is a solid, USA-made student cornet. It has a good reputation for playing well and is generally built better than many inexpensive modern imports.

The Le Blanc Trumpet is a vintage instrument that has been played for approximately 65 years. It comes with a mouthpiece, bag, and case, all made of brass with a high polish and plated finish. This standard trumpet has a Bb key, 3 piston valves, and a finger hook for added convenience. Made in France, this advanced level trumpet is a classic choice for brass musicians looking for a quality instrument with a rich history. MODEL NUMBER IS 476T. Normally number starting with’4′, is on a clarinet BUT this trumpet was incorrectly stamped and the’T’, represents trumpet. Also located ML 8726 on middle piston.

This is another I’m sad to see leaving but it’s time. It is an older limited run Bac trumpet designed by Michal corrigsan. I played it for some time and it isn’t for me. I ended up playing my liberty more. I believe this is an early select model and it plays kinda like a strad 37 and feels great. It has a small dent on the front of the tuning slide but it really doesn’t affect anything. This horn will be helping pay for a Bach72 or 43, or a BAC paseo. Sad to see it going but it’s time. Great step up or first pro horn.

VINTAGE KING MASTER MODEL CORNET – H. Serial # 309, xxx. Lots of miles on this one – dents and dings and cosmetic wear. But it plays like a vintage King! Body is solid, no structural issues. All slides are moving. Original King “MC” mouthpiece is in very good condition (though needs cleaning and polishing). Classic King vintage case is in quite good shape (and it is not musty). Please write with any questions.
