The trumpets finish has come off in areas and is not as glossy. There are a few small dents. Please see the last few pictures for accurate depiction. Martin Indiana Trumpet RMC TU55 1963 – Reconditioned – Case & Bach 7C Mouthpiece Bore. 456 – Serial# 127. Horn has 85% lacquer showing general signs of use with some dent work and a patch on the lead-pipe, horn is solid and plays great. Crack was linear and not from red-rot, patch came out nice. Excellent compression, all slides are smooth, 3rd slide moves nicely. Case is in ok condition, latches and hinges are solid, Bach 7C mouthpiece is included. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. UpYourBrass Policies (please read). This is a very rare Martin Standard Bb Trumpet Bell. Please note the silver under the laq. This is a very rare, solid Nickle Silverl variant. These were used on a select few trumpets and have an absolutely extraordinary tone. Feather light and would be an amazing addition to any build. There are just a few dings and scuffs. The finish is fair. This won’t last. The tail is trauma free and straight.

I believe the case is not original, no mouthpiece. Valves 2 & 3 are sticky and slow, looks like valve 1 may be incomplete, see last photo. Otherwise there are some small dings and there maybe the slightest bit of misshapenness on the bell rim.

This is a standard (non-deluxe) #2 bore Martin Committe manufactured in 1949. All slides are free. It has good compression as well. It comes with the original case. Please see the detailed photographs for an accurate description of the overall condition. This Committee comes with everything pictured with the exception of the trumpet stand that I used for the photographs. The Martin Committe is my favorite trumpet for its unique characteristics. Professional trumpet players will like the way they can manipulate the tone and timbre to obtain the sound and projection that they are looking for. I have played this trumpet on many occasions and simply love it! I have another 1949 Deluxe Martin Committee (#2 bore) that I’ve played for 14 years now. Personally, I wouldn’t consider switching to any other trumpet. This is a fantastic trumpet for a professional or collector.
