The instrument is in working condition. All valves move freely and slides pull, but the horn shows cosmetic wear including dents, scratches, and signs of previous repairs consistent with age and use. The original wooden case is included as a bonus. The case is in fair condition, showing wear from age and use, but still provides protection for storage or transport. Valves move and slides pull. Signs of previous repairs. Multiple dents, scratches, and general wear. Overall cosmetically rough condition. Holton MH101 Marching Mellophone. Any additional accessories or parts. Horn: 3.5 lb. This was my personal trumpet that I received new at age10 in1956. I played it for 4 years and then lost interest. It has been stored in its case and never played since 1960. It was recently serviced, cleaned, and lubricated. The felt and cork on the valves were also replaced. This is an excellent example of a Getzen Super Deluxe Tone Balanced Elkhorn WI trumpet from 1956. Serial number is 53456. This instrument is in excellent playing condition and sounds fantastic. It is in the original case, liner is in excellent condition, and even has the original Getzen sticker inside. The exterior latches latch but the springs no longer work. There is no key to the latches. It also comes with the original Vincent Bach mouthpiece, as well as the original sheet music holder. The valves and slides all work smoothly. The lacquer is in great shape for its age. It does show some signs of wear, but I’d give it a 8/10 or 9/10. It’s time to get it in the hands of someone who will make music with it again.

All valves and slides move freely and the valve compression is good, with no worn through plating on pistons. The bore is approximately. 475 and a standard shank trombone mouthpiece is accepted into the receiver. There are several minor bell, body and slide dents present. This bass trumpet has scratches throughout from normal use and the minor lacquer wear is minimal, with approximately 85% of lacquer intact. The serial number is in the 319, xxx range, which dates the year of manufacture to approximately 1959. No mouthpiece or case is included.
