There are no major dents present and several minor dings don’t affect performance. The inner hand slide tubes have minimal wear and no worn through plating. This trombone has wear and scratches throughout from normal use, mostly where the instrument is normally held. The lacquer wear is noticeable, with approximately 70% of lacquer intact. The serial numbers on both valve/slide sections are in the 447, xxx range and are not matching. This instrument would benefit from a chemical cleaning by the new owner for optimal performance and to help remove the overall musty smell. Included is a somewhat used King trombone case. (the latches catch, tape residue on case edges and is musty smelling inside/out, several interior straps/storage compartment are broken/missing the snaps and one case handle needs to be replaced). Vintage Eastlake King Silver Flair Professional Trumpet. This is certainly one of the very best trumpets King has ever made and an american classic in the professional trumpet world. The blow is wonderful, and I believe you will love the. The valves have a nice feel with strong compression. The trigger is smooth and function as are all the slides. The trumpet has just been ultrasonically cleaned and is ready to enjoy. Included is the original case which shows a lot of wear but does hold the trumpet nicely. The silver plating is very nice and there are no large dents. There is evidence of dent removal in the back of the bough and small indentations. Please see the last photo that shows this.
