This Reynolds Medalist # 230346 trumpet has been put in good playing condition in our shop. Sonically cleaned, major dents removed, new felts, corks replaced. Comes with Original Case, 7c mouthpiece, straight mute, cleaning supplies, oil and grease. The Reynolds Medalist trumpet is a vintage student-model Bb trumpet. These durable instruments were manufactured by the F. At their plant in Abilene, Texas, between the mid-1960s and 1970. Production: Following Chicago Musical Instrument Co. S (CMI) acquisition of Reynolds, trumpet production was relocated to a new, specialized facility in Abilene, Texas, in August 1965. Model: The Medalist line (often labeled as model TU-58) was highly regarded for school band use, featuring solid nickel bracing and nickel silver on the slides. Designed for young musicians to serve them faithfully throughout their school years, the Medalist trumpet is the outstanding value in the Reynolds line. Easy-action valves with hard nickel plating and enclosed top action springs. Medalist instruments with serial numbers above 200000 (after the 1964 sale of Reynolds to CMI) are different instruments altogether. These were significantly higher quality instruments than the earlier models, now produced on the Olds manufacturing lines in Fullerton, California (while being stamped “Abilene, Texas” to keep the Reynolds line separate from Olds). They have much in common with the Olds Ambassador line, while retaining a few unique details.

Used for 3 years. Works perfectly fine, great starter trumpet for any age group. The bell is a little flat on the edges due to setting it down on the bell throughout middle school, shouldn’t be difficult to fix if you want to take it into the shop or fix it yourself. Other than that only some common minor dents that will not effect performance. The trumpet and mouthpiece were thoroughly cleaned before listed. Any questions are welcome!

Welcome to Ashantee Music! Matching Exceptional Students With Quality Instruments. One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius 180S37 silver trumpet in Bb with the additional 1. Valve trigger not found on most 37’s. S/n 116XXX makes this around 1977, though there is a small gap in the serial number lists at that point. It looks far newer and to have been played very carefully and very little. Silver plating about 99.5% with little if any wear at all, and just a couple very small dings left over from careful and minor dent removal. No signs of repair or major dent removal. Valves are fast and smooth and quiet with very good compression. All tuning slides are free including the third-valve dump slide which is so often stuck on vintage horns. Just through the shop where it was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, water key cork, piston felts and stop rod bumper installed. Copper bottom straight mute, Harmon wow-wow mute, polishing cloth, Bach 5C and 7C mouthpieces, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and new ProTec leather finger protector. All in the vintage hard case with minor wear and what looks like tiny paint splatters, but structurally in good condition. A great-playing horn from a great period with a hard-to-find trigger, and super hard to find in this condition! 1966 Olds Ambassador NA10M trumpet, great proven player, fully disassembled and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Valve ports were precisely aligned with horn ports using premium Valentino quiet pads and corks via the borescope method. All pads and corks replaced with new premium parts. All caps and buttons thread easily and seat fully without drama. Excellent original condition with very minor lacquer loss on leadpipe and finger hook. This appears to be a lightly used, well maintained 59 year old “closet queen”. This instrument plays very well with good intonation from pedal tones up through High C, my upper range. It has a rich, full tone as expected from Olds. It is efficient with excellent response. It is an excellent student grade instrument that is far superior to today’s imported offerings costing 3 or 4 times as much. This would be a great choice for a student, returning player or as a backup horn for a professional. Includes case and Getzen 7C mouthpiece in excellent condition. Pictures tell the story, ask any questions.

Very nice vintage Reynolds Contempora professional trumpet serial number 271. Xxx with the famous tone ring around the bell. This trumpet is in very good shape for its age. Just professionally overhauled, cleaned and serviced by the best brass tech in St Louis! There are sone scratches and expected cosmetic wear. All the slides and valves move freely. The valves work great and so does the 1st valve trigger. Very good valve compression too(professionally checked). Comes with the original case, which has some wear on the outside and the left latch needs a new spring.
