Lovely vintage Selmer Super alto with a lovely dark lacquer finish. The horn is physically in nice condition with a few minor cosmetic blemishes and dings The pads are old. It does play a bit with a rich lyrical sound but clearly needs some pad work. It will be a lyrical masterpiece when adjusted correctly. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment. Moderate wear and scratching on it’s worn vintage laquer finish. Radio Improved octave mechanism although this sax is indicated as a “Cigar Cutter” by it’s serial number. Likely because this was a transitional period between models, some new features were included in some examples such as this one. This sax has exceptional projection and a fine consistent vintage edge.
