Early 1960’s Silvertone Blessing Artist stencil / Bb Trumpet. Made for Sears Roebuck stores by EK Blessing under contract in the 60’s these Silvertone trumpets were solid, well-built horns. They appear identical to the Blessing Artist trumpets from that period. The Blessing line in that period went from Super Artist, to Artist, to Standard, and then Scholastic model. So the Artist would have been a step-up or perhaps entry level pro horn. The valves are excellent. The short stroke Blessing valves were so nice to play on. This is the early 1960’s heavyweight version of the Artist. If you’re looking for a lighter weight, see my other late 60’s Silvertone Artist listing. I will be adding more pics later today. Martin Indiana Tenor Saxophone RMC Badge Early 60’s, Silver Keys. Neck and Horn have matching serial numbers. Overall in good playable shape. I would probably bring it is for a check up. All the keys are working, no sticking and all the springs are in good shape and still have a lot of life. All the bumpers are in place and are in good condition. The pads are still soft and appear to be still sealing. There is pitting and wear on the lacquer but most of it is still there. Some dings and small dents , normal wear for a players Sax. The case is a little rough some chipping on the corners but still solid. Still very playable with some well earned wear.
