This is a great original example of a vintage King Zephyr alto saxophone #259XXX with low wear for it’s age on it’s gold laquer finish. It is a prime vintage Zephyr, manufactured in 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio USA, the absolute peak period of quality. It has good pads around midlife and t. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment. Speckling and scratches and small dents for it’s age. Repair of neck dents seen in photo #4, no effect on it’s great sound. This sax has a great edge, even response and blows very easily.
