This is a rare fine-playing example of a Selmer Super alto saxophone #147XX manufactured in Paris, France in 1931 with the “cigar cutter” style octave mechanism. Pads are a complete recent set of dome metal resonator replacements and t. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment. Moderate wear and scratching on it’s shiny, clean vintage laquer finish. This sax blows very freely and evenly with a solid and strong characteristic Selmer core throughout the entire range.
