1940s WFL Ideal Nickel Over Brass Snare Drum. Drum has a very rare aluminum WFL used for a very short time. Throw and likely butt plate have been replaced with other vintage styles adding a few extra holes. Hardware shows average pitting, not too bad considering the age. Rare factory wfl wires still present. Vintage Slingerland batter head is torn/reso side looks original and is in great shape. 1940s French Besson Brevete Bb Trumpet PARIS. Besson Paris Brevete Bb Trumpet. Made in the mid 40s. The horn is in nice shape for a vintage horn. The 3rd slide is a little unusual. The way the 3rd slide stop is set up, it can be positioned so the the slide is held out about 5/8″(in the correct position) as the “in position and then extended as usual from there. The valves compression is not very good (at least as judged by slide “pop”), but it still plays well with a free and lively sound. No case or mouthpiece.
