Here we have a lovely sounding late 1950’s 14 x 5.5 Chrome on Brass Hi-Fi Snare Drum Model No. This is a 10 lug snare, originally this drum would have come with Cast hoops and Slotted rods, along the way it’s been changed to 2.3mm hoops and square rods. The drum features Premiers parallel action snare system currently fitted with double 12 wires. This drum has a great vibe, it’s in excellent condition for its age too. These drums very rarely appear especially in this kind of condition. She’s got very few minor scuffs and scratches, and 2 small dings, but overall she’s pretty sweet for a 60-year old! She sports her original Ludwig script-style snare wires. We outfitted her with a brand new Ludwig resonant head. We have her original “Ludwig Orchestra Batter” head (the type where Ludwig applied stickers to the blank head), but it had a tear in it which had been repaired.
