Olds Recording Trumpet Los Angeles California with Carrying Case. Based on serial number 93415 it appears to be from 1953. Has some wear but an overall nice trumpet. Valves move freely and has an Olds #3 mouthpiece and Olds note holder as well as the Olds carrying case. Could use polishing, cleaning, and going through from sitting. The front ide valves. The two smaller rear slides dont and would need cleaning. The three valves have matching numbers the same as the serial number. 1964 Olds Recording Trumpet with Original Case. Here’s your chance to own what some say is the best playing trumpet ever built. This is a Fullerton built Olds, which means it has the upgraded valve guide setup. There is also a flat area in the main tuning slide inner radius where apparently someone tried too hard to pull a stuck slide. Other than that, this trumpet is very straight. The bell flair isn’t factory straight, but it’s so close that careful inspection is needed to see any imperfections. There is a small amount of pitting here and there. The valves don’t look so good due to pitting, but the actual valve wear is very low. The measured valve leakage (see pictures) is lower than most horns of this vintage. No play in the valve stems. Big’pop’ when pulling slides. There are no tubing, solder, or water key leaks. All 4 tuning slides are in great condition. The horn plays great and has a unique sound. This instrument has been thoroughly snaked several times. It’s clean and corrosion-free inside, including the leadpipe. Case and trumpet only. 1959 FE Olds R-15 Recording Professional Tenor Trombone-Fullerton Calif

Straight from our brass. Repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life… All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides reworked. Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and are in. We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and have shown what we can in the pictures allowed. We are happy to answer any questions asked. Up for sale is a 1959 R-15 Olds Recording made by FE Olds and Son Tenor Trombone-Fullerton Calif. The horn has serial #339xxx and is in great condition. The bell is made of Olds Rey-o-loy brass, with solid nickel silver and red brass braces. There are a few pings on the instrument with a light wave on the right side of the bell engraving. There is some light scratching throughout, but with slight pitting at the grips. The slide action is very good and the stockings are very good, but with a very minor crease on one of the tips. Otherwise, very clear with low wear. This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument may have to be polished periodically (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish). The slide bore is. 510 and the bell flare is 8. This horn is a precise player; it slots very well and has very good intonation. It comes with a mouthpiece(may not be the one pictured) and a used, modified King case. Thanks for looking and check out our other items! This listing is for a BBb Tuba made by the C. Conn Company of Elkhart, Indiana. It is the famous 25J model. Features on this instrument include 4 short-action piston valves, removable upwards bell, #11 bore. The serial number is in the N series placing production in 1970. We took this instrument as a trade from a school system so it does show wear – dents, finish wear, etc. BUT the valves are smooth and show little wear the braces are solid. The slides work and we cleaned the pistons. The bow guard needs some minor soldering. It plays very well as is. This model has a big sound that works well in concert band. The response and intonation are very good. This would be a candidate for a restoration project or it can be played as is. This tuba has many years of play left in it. The following is from the Conn Loyalist website. The 25J has four valves. The 25J has a 0.773 bore size, which is a #11¾ bore. There are rings to which a strap can be attached so you can play it standing up, but the weight of it makes that impractical: the 25J weighs approximately 31 Lbs. What Conn said in 1959: Short action valves, 1/3 shorter than other basses and hydraulic expansion which protects the inside of tapers makes this model the finest bass in the world. Crysteel valves, extra range with 4 valves, concert bell interchangeable with bell front model for field or parade power. Highly polished brass, clear lacquer finish. This outfit includes NO case, a new Mt. Vernon mouthpiece and a polishing cloth. The item “G. C.
