Wichita Band Instrument Company. New Carol Brass CTR-5060H-GSS-S Professional Bb Trumpet. This new Silver Carol Brass 5060H trumpet has been built to last, and is ready and waiting for a player to pick it up to make music. 460 bore leadpipe is made of sterling silver which prevents the formation of red rot, and the bell is made of gold brass with a silver plated finish. The tuning slides are made of yellow brass, the 1. Valve slide finger rings are fixed to the instrument, and the 3. Valve slide comes with a stop screw. The trumpet comes with the pictured Carol Brass backpack case, a 3C Carol Brass mouthpiece, 3 extra slim finger buttons, and two main tuning slides (one rounded, one squared). A complimentary cleaning rod, cleaning cloth, and bottle of valve oil are included as well. Wichita Band Instrument Company is a small musical instrument emporium located in the center of the USA. The owners are Kansas natives Gary L. Ray and his two sons. Founded by a woodwind repair technician in 1953, we soon will commence our seventy-first year in business. We’re not a “back bedroom” operation but can report that we are the owners of a proper “brick and mortar” workshop. It’s in addition to any factory guarantees. For two full years, we will repair or replace (whichever in our estimation is the more advisable), pads, corks, springs or other parts required, at no charge to the customer. In the event of cracked or damaged wood sections, we will repair at no cost to the customer or replace the section and charge the customer only for our net costs for the replacement section. Wichita Band Instrument Company maintains a repair department capable of restoration work of the highest quality. Even though repairs are essentially “free” for the first two years, after that period has expired, we remain at your service to maintain and repair your musical equipment forever. OLDS Recording Model Trumpet. This vintage horn is made in Fullerton California by F. The serial number dates this horn to 1965. This horn has some wear from age and I’ve called it good condition, though it could possibly be rated higher than that by some when considering its age. It does have pitting and finish flaking in some places more than others. I have provided many photos. I have played it as well as a sax player can play a trumpet, and though it needs TLC, the 3 piston valves, and all the tuning slides including the trigger one, are functional and free. I believe this has the original case. Also included are a couple of mouthpieces. One is an old Olds mouthpiece (I think cannot see but looks like some other Olds mouthpieces I’ve had) and a Vincent Bach Corp. Both are in fairly worn condition. I imagine anyone getting this horn would use their own mouthpiece so really they are just extras.
