WeltKlang Exquisit Trumpet East Germany – Refurbished – Case and Bach 7C MP Bore. 462 – Serial# None. Pretty good playing East German horn considering what people say on the forums. Impossible to know where or when this was made since DDR used Weltklang on instruments that came from numerous different manufacturing locations. Built like a tank, this horn was used and has a knuckle and lead-pipe patch (doesn’t leak), most of the lacquer is gone. Valves and slides are all solid with excellent compression, 2nd slide is a bit tight. Super trick water keys, a fun horn to mess around with, comes with a beat up case and a Bach 7C. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. UpYourBrass Policies (please read).
