This horn is perfect for solo, chamber, and orchestral literature, though the late, great Brazilian jazz trumpeter, Claudio Roditi also had a Pleischl model. I’ve used it in these settings, most recently performing the iconic trumpet “solo” in Siegfried-Idyll and also teaching jazz ensemble to my students while trying to harness some of Maestro Roditi’s (whom I knew) bebop brilliance. Horn is in bright silver plated with a medium-large bell Krantz, 3rd valve trigger with 3rd valve water key, and mini-ball linkages. All in perfect working order, and ready for professional use. One cool feature I couldn’t capture in the photos are the main and 3rd slide waterkeys have insets built into the keys – whether this helps with sealing overall or is designed to help with the “Klappen” overblow key, I’m not sure, but the main slide key works GREAT on top line F, high Bb/D/F. King 1500 Silver Trumpet – Rebuilt & Excellent – King Case and King 7C Mouthpiece Bore. 458 – Serial# 164. Early 2000’s beautiful unmarked 1500 model horn with 99% plating, new lead-pipe just installed, horn shows excellent. Valves are smooth and fast with excellent compression, slides feel great, 1st and 3rd are very nice, caps thread easily. Solid King case and horn also comes with a King 7C mouthpiece. UpYourBrass shop policies are to offer only inspected, repaired, thoroughly cleaned, detailed horns. Horn is dis-assembled and inspected, soaked in an organic de-greasing solution and scrubbed. Body, valves and components are treated in an organic chem clean with Tesch products (Tesch is recommended by NAPBIRT). All braces are checked and needed solder work is completed. Hand-lapped valves and chambers (This process can take up to an hour). Complete detail of all components, hot water scrubbed and prepped for assembly. Valves aligned, pads and springs replaced as needed. Play tested and final inspected before listing for sale. Clean your instrument regularly (especially lead-pipe and tuning slide) and have a chem-clean or ultrasonic clean done every two years. Vintage cases are all disinfected, cleaned and sanitized but there may be a residual horn smell in any old case. UpYourBrass Policies (please read). Bell Brass 3mm Cast 6.5×14 Snare Drum With Tama Hardware Gorgeous! This Cast Bell Brass Snare Drum was recently made (2021) by the same foundry that made the Limited Bell Brass Snare Drums for DW. You didnt think DW made them, did you? They dont have the resources or specialized skills. This one was made with the same specs as the Tama Bell Brass snare drums of the 80s and 90s, 3mm thick shell and sharp bearing edges. The lugs are the same as the ones on my 90s Tama Bell Brass snare drum and I installed Tamas newest throw off and butt plate the ones used on the Tama reissue Tama Bell Brass snare drums. It even has Tama snare wires. Die cast hoops finish off this beauty. This Cast Bell Brass Snare Drum sounds as good as my 90s Tama Bell Brass! It can be played loud or softly and has great sensitivity. This beast of a snare weights in almost 18lbs! Up for sale is a rare, beautiful and killer horn in GREAT condition. Made at the original HN White factory in Cleveland, these 1055T Flair’s are difficult to find. And I have owned this one (serial 415, xxx) and a later Eastlake horn and THIS one is the better of the two, by far. Posessing a sound that is full and deep in the lower registers and with a searing, clear edge in the upper octaves. Valve action is quiet, short stroke and fast. Simply a sensational player! Silver finish is as close to 100% as I dare say. Valves are awesome and have great compression. There is a tiny sign of dent/scuffing on lower bell tail area, but it probably doesn’t show in the pics it’s so inconsequential. Any questions, please ask!
