RARE Conn 30M Connqueror (deluxe & improved 10M) Naked Lady pro tenor saxophone
Conn 30M Connqueror aka… Artist model, Naked Lady, lady face, etc. The Conn 30M has always been regarded as one of the very best saxophones ever made. The Conn 10M standard saxophone is clearly known to be one of the favorite tenor saxophones. Conn took the deluxe and very rare 30M “Connqueror” series several steps further… With much improved ergonomics (check out the placement of the LH pinky table relative to the upper stack keys), larger/oversized pinky table, improved & faster mechanism, silver-inlaid key touches on every key (and right thumb hook) that doesn’t have a pearl, individual adjustments for each key to allow for set & forget long-term adjustment via the Conn perm-adjust system. Original Conn key pearls and rollers. Fair condition for its nearly 80 years of age, and the unmistakable Conn pinky table keys are in good alignment. It has lacquer pitting/dents/dings – common for this vintage. This one may need some TLC in my opinion… You may want to strip it down, clean it up, perhaps re-engrave, and rebuild it exactly to your specification; alternatively have your sax tech address any issues and just enjoy the patina on this classic beauty like a badge of honor; or something in between – that is completely up to you. It has the original Conn 30M neck; no sign of any pull down; some dings (see photos); the 30M sax has a completely unique & sleek neck design with the special split over/under slung octave lever. Rolled tone holes (RTH) – a unique feature and they are much easier on the key pads. Metal resonated leather pads – I believe these are Conn reso-pads. All keys operate, move freely, and quickly… Just as they should on a Connqueror. This legendary professional saxophone is a rare find. These 30M Connquerors are very hard to find – particularly in this price range. You cannot beat this price for a Conn 30M Connqueror. First come, first served… Don’t miss this super-rare Conn 30M Connqueror Naked Lady! Includes a vintage non-original case that also needs some TLC. It will be packed well with care. Check out my other items. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. For those of you who may not be familiar, Frank is a true heavy hitter in the jazz world and has been featured on multiple Grammy winning albums. He is also the quintessential gear hound, having amassed a collection of over 500 mouthpieces! He now endorses and plays Jody Jazz mouthpieces exclusively so he is purging some of his massive collection of mouthpieces he has acquired over many years, as well as other random gear. Be sure to check out my other items for more great items from this collection. There will be more to come later, so add me to your favorites list and check back later to see new additions. His listing is for a vintage Conn 12M’Naked Lady baritone saxophone. The serial number 351, xxx indicates a c. It is not currently playable. Like most old bari saxophones, this horn has taken its share of knocks in its lifetime. There are no major dents, but there are lots of little dings and pings. It looks like there was dent work done on the bell, and possibly elsewhere as well. The rim of the bell is a bit wavy, and there are small dings on it. The feet of the low Eb key guard are pushed into the body a bit. There are a number or resoldered posts, including one which was done very poorly and needs to be re-soldered correctly. The body looks to have a slight banana bend. The neck has been pulled down and bent back up, resulting in a stress crack on one side, which will need to be patched. It still is a bit bent down, and has some small dings. Surprisingly, the pads on this horn are actually in decent condition. If perfection is not a concern, this horn could probably be put back in decent functional playing condition for a reasonable price. Of course, for optimum playing condition it would require a full overhaul. There is no case or mouthpiece included. Please feel free to message me with any questions! Thanks again for looking! 1932 Conn 6m Transitional Alto Saxophone #251XXX, Silver, Lady, Recent Pads
This is a great-playing example of a vintage Conn 6m transitional alto saxophone manufactured in 1932, #351XXX, at the absolute peak of American saxophone craftsmanship and quality. Rolled toneholes and naked lady engraving. His sax has a recent set of metal dome resonator pads and it is set up to good playing adjustment. Normal wear for a sax of it’s vintage with some scratches and a few small dents and wear mainly on the neck and some wear on the touch points as seen in the photos on it’s original silver-plated finish. Poor-looking but solid solder repair on low D# guard as seen in photos 8 and 9, no effect on the great sound quality of this sax. Very free-blowing with lots of edge and vintage character. Beautiful Selmer American “C” soprano saxophone. Plays up and down the scale, pads are not new but certainly serviceable. The silver plate finish is in excellent condition as are the key pearls and rollers – as is clear from the pictures. The keys all work well and the horn is in very good adjustment, to my liking anyway. “C” sopranos are a blast to play, and. In contrast to the typical Bb sopranos, they. Allow you to play along with other key of “C” instruments without transposing the music piano, violin, flute, oboe, etc. These vintage horns have so much character – this horn has a little Buescher True Tone flavor to it, I think due to the drawn tone holes. I will be glad to take whatever additional photos you would like – just let me know. The item “Selmer C Soprano Saxophone made by Conn” is in sale since Friday, July 5, 2019. Conn LTD Elkhart 1927 6H Silver Plated Trombone. It is mark 6H with serial # 246848 thats dates it to 1927. It looks a lot better than the pics show. Has dents in the back elbow and a very small one underneath toward the bell as seen in pics. Music store I took it to said it could be easy fixed. The tunning slide works. The main slide is working good as for as I could tell, maybe a little slight drag. Please look at all pics. Mouth pc is a conn 12c not original to the trombone but fits perfect. The case that in was found in and comes with is a Lyon & Healy. Case is worn but works for the trombone. I was able to get sound with no problem. Not sure how to correctly to play a trombone but as far as I could tell it seems fine. I Sure it will need cleaning as I bought this at a antique mall several years ago. The item “C. G. This is a great-playing example of a vintage Conn 6m alto saxophone manufactured in 1949, #333XXX. Rolled toneholes and naked lady engraving. His sax has a good set of plastic dome resonator pads with plenty of life left and it is set up to good playing adjustment, with needed replacements. Normal wear for a sax of it’s vintage with some scratches and a few small dents and wear mainly on the neck and some wear on the touch points as seen in the photos on it’s original laquer finish. Hello, and thanks for visiting our page. THIS IS NOT A TRUMPET FOR SALE BUT TO MAKE YOURS LOOK LIKE NEW. That which follows describes the process of refinishing any Trumpet, to look as good as the one pictured in this ad. The Trumpet in the picture display, is for representational purposes only, it is not for sale. Making the consideration to overhaul/refinish your Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Cornet etc. Is a big one! It is a process filled with questions, concerns, apprehension emotions that surround the most important of any considerations Who do you trust? We realize that this instrument is very special to you, for lots of different reasons. Perhaps it is your personal favorite, the one filled with timeless memories? Alternatively, maybe it is simply one that you have acquired and ultimately plan to re-sell? Regardless of the reason, the level of professionalism with which you want it treated is your highest priority. You want to go forward with every bit of confidence necessary to eliminate your worries. You want a company that will give your instrument the level of care and respect that it and you, as the customer, deserve. Having said all of that, here is where the rubber meets the road the jumping off point where everything becomes less clear with every inquiry you make! There are countless companies out there competing for your business. Your choices are many and varied, some good, some okay and some that are just plain bad. Also accompanying these confusing facts are an equally huge variety of prices for these serviceswhich further complicates your decision. Does the expensive service mean a better job? Or, conversely does a lesser cost mean a mediocre job? How do you really know who is good, bad, or indifferent as concerns all of these choices? Well, the good news is that there is an answerand the simple fact is that none of the confusion above means anything relevant to the choice you are about to make. First and foremost, your decision should be one that begins by looking at the depth of a companys history. These single criteria will determine how their services relate to your needs. A business that has a long and successful history of doing this type of specialized work would not have been able to survive, let alone prosper, without doing their job very well! This is the basis of credentials and reputations commodities that are built and cultivated over the long run and earned through learning, as well as, decades of practice by the individual. Our small company, musicshop-more , has been in business for over 20 years. In that time, we have overhauled and refinished several thousands of instruments, as well as, at least ten thousand mouthpieces. Doing business with a big company only means paying for bigger overhead, more payroll and fixed costsit has absolutely nothing to do with the product quality. It is simply the reason why they are more expensive than us! Thus, being a small. Company means more care, personal attention, affordability all in all a much better job performed. Our specialty is Silver and Gold plating which is an art form in and of itself, as it must be done methodically and with great patience and expertise. So, here is what your instrument will get from us, over the course of approximately a month to six weeks. Upon its arrival, we will be photographing your instrument from a wide variety of angles, then both dating and time stamping these pictures. Following this simple step, we then. Thoroughly inspect your instrument. If it has any dent issues, damaged or rotted parts that need repairing or replacement, we will immediately contact you to discuss this, as well as, also advise you of the repair/ replacement cost of these parts as this is above normal services. Those decisions will of course be yours to make, prior to beginning any work. The next step is that the instrument will be put through its first of Three (3) Sonic cleaning baths. This is a process of intense cleaning, sanitizing, freeing stuck slides etc. Addressing literally every part of the interior of your instrument that normal cleaning cannot reach! Once that is completed we will then begin all previously agreed upon dent work and other repairs that need re-mediating to in order to make this horn look as new as possible. Following these repairs, the horn will be lightly buffed making the surface acceptance of its new finish. The instrument will now be put through its second Sonic cleaning bath. We then begin the new finish, beginning with a light cooper plating, followed by a Silver plating. After this plating process is completed, the instrument will be put through its third Sonic cleaning bath. Following all of thiswe begin the reassembling of the instrument, including the replacement of all the felts, corks, water key pads and springs.
