THE MARTIN HANDCRAFT IMPERIAL TRUMPETS/CORNETS MADE BEFORE 1940 WERE THE TOP-OF-THE-LINE, PROFESSIONAL HORNS. IN 1940 THE COMMITTEE BECAME The Top OF THE LINE. BUT SOME LIKE THE PRE-COMMITTEE IMPERIALS BETTER. AFTER 1939, IMPERIALS ARE INTERMEDIATE HORNS. THIS 161/2-INCH-LONG HORN PLAYS WELL AND HAS A SMOOTH, MELLOW TONE. A GOOD HORN FOR RECORDING! This is the beautiful Sturm & Drang model from Martin Böhme. Probably the best horn I ever owned but sadly it needs a home where it can be played regularly. I only practice on it so it’s in excellent condition, no dents or dings. The sound is tremendously consistent throughout all registers and well fit in any playing environment. You play Jazz, Classical, Commercial or Cover Band this is the horn for you! It does it all! Tonal palette and intonation is exceptional! Martin Large Bore Indiana trumpet

For sale is my Martin Indiana trumpet serial number 130686. This trumpet was made in the early 1960s and is marked Martin Indiana made in USA. It was made during the RMC period. It is a great player and in good condition for its age. The lacquer has been removed and the horn is raw brass except for some of the slides that are nickel plated. It has some small dents in the bell crook, the tubing where it enters the 1st valve casing, and some dings along the bell tubing. Please examine the pictures closely although the smaller dings along the bell tubing do not show well in the photos. All slides pull and the valves are in good shape. The trumpet is a large bore. Yes a few Indianas were in large bore but they are scarce. I have a host of Martin trumpets. Most of the Handcraft models and the Committees and Imperials. This Indiana plays as well as any that I have. A great alternative to the Committee and a lot cheaper. Comes with a non original case for protection and a mouthpiece that works well with it. MARTIN C SOPRANO C MELODY SAXOPHONE (rare). Beveled tone holes throughout. To my eye, all of the tone hole solder joints. Appear to be intact. Lacquer- not sure whether the lacquer is original, though it may possibly be original. The instrument seems to have the expected patina for original lacquer. Pads- old, and leaky. At least two pads have tears. I expect that the new owner will. Wish to have a complete overhaul accomplished. Comes with an exceedingly rare RUDY WEIDOFT C soprano mouthpiece in good condition. Again, this instrument is a candidate for restoration. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Scarce Martin Committee T3460 Medium Bore Trumpet Serial # 549676 – Very Nice! I also had one small ding taken out. There are no dents but a couple of pin sized dings. The silver plating has no thin spots or brassing. There are light scratches which I have not tried to remove. Case looks to be original and does have some wear but overall looks good. This is a hard to find quality Trumpet which has been increasing in value quickly. Comes with a Vincent Bach mouthpiece. The Committee T3460 trumpet design was a favorite of Miles Davis although his trumpets were very customized. A model T3460 Committee trumpet with a midnight blue epoxy body and gilt moon and stars decorations, commissioned by jazz legend Miles Davis in the early 1980s. Please look at the 12 pictures closely and judge the condition, size and content of this lot for yourself as our photos are a large portion of our description.
