White King Super 20 “Silver Sonic” tenor saxophone. All keys move freely and the pads/corks are in good condition. This tenor saxophone has full pearls, a sterling silver bell, a double socket sterling silver neck, elaborate bell/key engraving and gold plating on the inner bell/on bell engraved areas. There are no major dents present and several minor dings don’t affect performance. This tenor sax has scratches throughout from normal use and the lacquer wear is minimal, with approximately 85-90% of lacquer intact(possibly not the original lacquer). The matching neck/body serial number is in the low 298, xxx range, which dates the year of manufacture to approximately 1949. Part of the pearl touch piece on the Gb/Ab left pinkie key is missing and a piece of cork has been substituted as the touch surface. Included is a like new Gator tenor sax case(includes two keys and a case carrying strap) and a brass body tenon cap. No mouthpiece is included. The item “1949 H. N. Horn has been cleaned and water key pads have been changed for new. It’s ready to rock an roll or jazz and roll / pop and roll or rap and roll! This horn has a normal wear around from normal use over years , no abuse , no patches , no rot and brass is excellent shape. One finger button the middle one is not original but I found a very very close looking one to other two even with the same line pattern hard to see the difference comparing to other two and alignment on downstroke is fine as well. Bell flare as well as area up to bell engraving still have original darkened lacquer since these areas were not touched by hands as much over years retained original lacquer. It’s a great players horn which due to standard wear is not a museum condition so you can take it out of your home for a jam and not worry about it like you would with more mint! Horn is a great player and plays smoothly with great Handcraft Committee tone through the ranges. Original case and new professional case included. Case has a cool pocket under the horn for reads and such. This saxophone also includes the original paper work from King dating to January 27th, 1953 seriously who keeps that stuff! It’s a one owner horn. I just received it so I’m technically the second owner. Has a dark rich sound. I have too many so this one must go. The neck is perfect. Lacquer is 80% intact. Extremely rare Bach Stradivarius Mount Vernon Bass Trumpet in the key of C in original lacquer. It has removable sleeves over the tuning slides that currently put it into Bb but can also be adjusted into B. It has been play tested by two professional players and it is free blowing with a beautiful tone. These were made on confirmed orders only. The valves are like new with great compression. These were made for the Wagner and Strauss parts but the sky is the limit. If you are a serious player or collector this bass trumpet for you! PLEASE READ THIS LISTING IN FULL AND SEE ALL PHOTOS WHICH ARE PART OF DESCRIPTION BEFORE DOING ANYTHING! NOTE : the Wolfpack case from photos is no longer available. Legendary Martin Committee trumpet serial range #203xxx listed for this summer jazz season and can make a great gift for that special jazz player! Horn is from late 1950s desirable range! Although this horn is medium bore for some reason has a feel of a larger bore and projects well and feels very stable in hands and in blow! Horn has some shallow wear around yellow lacquer. Please see all photos. I believe that lacquer is all original as all letters and numbers are crisp. Lacquer is a bit brighter yellow than it came out on photos I guess one light in my room gave a darker feel to photos. Lacquer has some scratching from use and a bit of wear. There are minor dings on the bell pipe from use and two dings on the leadpipe one on top one on bottom. These does not affect play and could be easily repaired if someone wishes to do so. There are no major dents! Brass is very healthy on this horn and valves are excellent. I owned this horn for few years. This horn is being listed during this graduation / summer season and may not be reposted so please make your decision fast if you wish to own a great playing vintage Committee. It can make a great gift The ring on 3rd slide is duplicate ring which looks very close to original / just like original ring. This horn is not a mint museum piece but its in very good shape and its meant to be played not stored! Dont miss and please take care of your own mouthpiece.
