This is a rare fine-playing example of a Selmer Super alto saxophone #149XX manufactured in Paris, France in 1931 with the “cigar cutter” style octave mechanism. Pads are midlife or a bit older, mostly tan, and flexible, and t. His sax is set up to good playing adjustment. Minimal wear and scratching on it’s shiny, clean vintage laquer finish. This sax blows very evenly with a solid and strong characteristic Selmer core throughout the entire range.
