AWESOME MARTIN COMMITTEE HORN / GIFT! UNIQUE RARE SILVER MATTE VERY COOL APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL FINISH! This Martin look almost identical to the one designed for the US Navy with silver brushed matte finish in #15xxxx serial range except does not have a US Navy logo / pattern on the bell. SUPER GIFT FOR THIS JAZZ 2019 YEAR AND MORE TO COME! Available for sale Awesome Martin Committee #15xxxx best serial range from circa mid 1940s. Horn choice of the jazz legends like Miles Davis , Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Dorham etc… / not the same exact trumpet! This trumpet is in great shape with valves refurbished by the one and only Dr. DRV is stamped on the middle spring chamber of the 2nd valve / see Pistons out photo on the other side of barrels is stamped 1 2 3 on each piston /. Valves are smooth and compression is top notch in this case most likely better than when this horn was new. The body finish appears to be original brushed silver matte as I’ve seen original Martins with such matte silver finish and in this serial range designed for the US Navy which had a US Navy logo on the bell. This one does not. Possibly after finish was put it was decided that this horn will go into retail instead of US Navy. The slides and bell are standard silver plate so it has a silver plated bell inside the flare. These contrasts make this horn look really awesome! The bell appears the have a bit of a cup mute scratches near / around edge. There are very few wear shallow spots of wear in contact points on the valve section but silver finish is in overall complete. For some reason the 1st two buttons are not silver plated but any brass tech could silver plate these 2 for you. Possibly pearls were worn and previous owner replaced these two buttons with other original Committee buttons. 3rd slide ring is not original but it functions as it should and matches horn finish well. This is a great player Martin Committee and very efficient throughout the range. Also included original Martin Committee case in very good shape with springs in both latches and original handle as well as Martin size 10 silver mouthpiece to make this package complete.
