Has original Martin emblem on the exterior. Holy Jazz Grail of vintage trumpets Martin Committee #3 bore from 1940s serial range very desirable #16xxxx with number 3 above It. This horn has been played a lot in New York City scene through the years. It’s been repaired and patched through the years. I did not count patches but there are quite a few smaller , larger , protective. Braces has been changed and are old Calicchio / New York Bach type of braces to improve sturdiness of the horn. Please notice also rounded patch around the bell part. It does not appear to affect sound though. Valves Pistons have good compression and horn is fully playable as is. THIS IS A PLAYERS HORN NOT A MUSEUM PIECE! Valves are stamped 1 3, 2 3, 3 3. Horn has been internally cleaned and play tested and has nice sound. It is raw brass horn with no lacquer and with nickel accents. Bell flare is 5 inches on it. 3rd slide ring is not original but functions as it should. Noticed small ding / dent on top of the tuning slide but too small to have any effect on sound. It will be hard to find another Large bore Committee at this price for sure. Sale is considered final.
