This a Bach 6 I (Model 401) Trombone. The serial number is #268, which dates it to around 1933. It probably has the original lacquer finish, so the lacquer is dark and missing in spots, but in terms of playing condition, it is excellent. The slide action and compression are both excellent and although there are signs of use on the inner tubes, the plating is completely intact. This instrument was probably hardly used over most of its lifetime. It comes with what is probably the original case, which is in poor shape but usable. It does not come with a mouthpiece.
